Cindy’s Tips - Natural Ways to Boost Your Energy

Blog

The vitamins and nutrients that I turn to for energy include Ashwagandha, Cacao, L-theanine, Matcha, Ginseng, and Maca

  • Ashwagandha is an Ayurvedic herb and is often referred to as Indian ginseng. If you are familiar with adaptogens, you may have come across Ashwagandha, which has been used for centuries to help increase stamina as well as reduce stress.
  • Cacao is one of my favorite natural stimulants as it is chocolate in its purest form. This superfood contains theobromine which increases blood flow both physically and mentally. It has been used for centuries in cacao ceremonies for its healing properties. Cacao is also rich in antioxidants and minerals. Our rich and decadent Cacao Essentials wellness shake uses the highest quality certified organic cacao to provide a sustained boost of energy.
  • L-theanine is naturally derived from tea leaves and combined with caffeine, this nootropic provides increased mental clarity and focus. You can find this in our Energize Me Wellness Shot.
  • Matcha, made from the highest quality green tea leaves, has been used for centuries to increase focus, energy, and endurance. We source a pure Japanese matcha which is bold yet delicate in flavor.
  • Ginseng is a plant that has been around for centuries and has been shown to help fight fatigue and promote energy.
  • Maca is an adaptogenic plant that is a good source of Vitamin C, iron, and copper, and its use dates back over 2,000 years.

Can you get most of these vitamins and nutrients through your diet?

These nutrients are not typically found in an average American meal. At Remedy Organics, we are working hard to provide conveniently crafted wellness shakes and immunity boosting shots that are packed with these energizing nutrients. I recommend including these as a supplement to your diet. In the case of matcha, I recommend substituting matcha for coffee so that it provides energy but without all the jitters that come when consuming coffee.

When is it okay or beneficial to take supplements for energy?

I recommend taking stimulating supplements in the earlier part of the day. If supplements are taken later in the day, it may interfere with your sleep. Pay close attention to how these supplements make you feel throughout the day and adjust accordingly.

Is there anything to keep in mind with dosage or consumption?

Look at the recommended daily value for each supplement you are incorporating in your routine. There are occasions where it may be best to take the supplement multiple times during the earlier part of the day.

What should you look for when purchasing supplements for energy?

Always look for a reliable source and pay careful attention to the country of origin. Typically, when the supplement is native to its country, it will be more nutrient-rich.

Do you have any favorite supplements for energy?

I do use several supplements to help boost my energy levels. As I have already spoken about some of these ingredients, it is probably no surprise that my favorite supplements include Ashwagandha, Cacao, L-theanine, and Matcha. You can find many of these supplements in Remedy Organics products such as Ashwagandha in our Cacao Essentials wellness shake, L-theanine in our Immunity+ Shots, and Matcha in our Matcha Fuel wellness shake.
