These shakes are great! I’ve tried the 3 day detox a few times, in the past but was always left feeling too hungry during those 3 days. I decided to try the variety pack of protein shakes, along with this variety pack and the wellness shots, this time and drink 3 of the protein shakes as well as 3 of these each day. This combination helped a lot and kept me from going to bed, hungry and unable to sleep. I have experienced a lot of weight gain around my mid-section and have difficulty maintaining and building muscle mass, as I am going through pre-menopause. I work in healthcare, so it is very difficult to make sure I’m consuming adequate protein every 2-3 hours to prevent muscle wasting and keep my metabolism up. I have a smart scale, which reflects my metabolism increasing during the 3 days I consume these shakes, so it’s nice to know that they are helping to raise my metabolism since I can easily drink one every couple of hours, while I’m working. I had a complete colectomy in 2010 and have a J-pouch, due to severe ulcerative colitis. Thankfully, I was able to have my ileostomy reversed after 4 months, but I do still have episodes of “pouchitis”, which makes it difficult to do my job when I have such frequent visits to the bathroom. With half of my digestive system missing, everything moves through me much faster than usual and even more so when I have these pouchitis flare-ups.
